Science Busking

Science Busking is quick science demos or activities that work well at any time. It can be very live, interactive and rewarding.

Aim

  • To develop students’ scientific knowledge and understanding of how it applies in practice.
  • To develop confidence communicating with others.
  • To gain valuable practice of giving clear scientific explanations.

In order to let students to learn science through doing experiment and develop self-learning, “Wow Science Party” filled with exciting, engaging, high impact hands-on science activities are held for primary 2 students in 2nd term of each school year since 2015. This activity also provides a science platform for students to show experiments to their parents and classmates.

Primary 2 Magic Science on Air

Aim:

To motivate and encourage students to create a self-made video and cultivate enthusiasm when doing experiments.

Rules:

  • Choose one of the experiments that science teachers provide for you.
  • Make a fun video of “Magic Science” including both the experiment part and explanation part.
  • Please film yourself carrying out the experiment and make sure you explain the result.
  • Video must be less than 3 minutes.
  • Upload the video on the science google classroom.

 

Award:

  • Prize and book voucher/ 2 outstanding students in each P. 2 class
  • Prize /for all students submitting a video.
